Original AMP Mission Statement
Dedicated to supporting US Soldiers' campaigns to Congress and the Presidency.
That's pretty simple, and my original vision for this political Party is just that.
Every Military branch has members who are bright and ambitious, capable and willing to do "double duty" by serving in Congress as well as in uniform. Some branches have policies limiting the number of terms a Soldier-Congressman may serve, other branches have zero-tolerance policies on allowing their Soldiers to serve in any political position.
It is our goal to lobby branch Commanders, the CHCS and JCS members, to loosen restrictions to allow Soldiers in all branches of the US Military to serve in Congress.
It is our goal to increase the number of Soldier-Congressmen, and maintain a high percentage of Soldiers in Congress.
Our practice is to promote the idea of increased Military presence in Congress while clarifying the misconception that we seek a "Military coup" or otherwise hostile takeover of Congress.
Our practice is to promote and gently solicit Soldiers to run for Congress, and help them work it out with their branch or transfer to another so they may do so.
Our practice is to
The AMP has been a non-partisan Party in that we have not expected to become a political power base of our own but serve as a symbol of unified pro-Military players.
Until we do gain such membership numbers to be a Top Five Party we must request of the Top Fives that they run our candidates. We cannot afford to alienate any of these Parties by appearing to be an independent power capable of becoming a political threat to them.
Until we do gain such membership numbers to be a Top Five Party we must appeal to and accept for political promotion Soldiers of all political persuasions.
This non-partisan stance is an important component of our broad appeal and potential for future strength.
Dedicated to supporting our US Soldiers' interests in Government
by supporting US Soldiers' campaigns to Congress and the Presidency.
This is a simple and straight forward statement of fact, and it's important that in discussion we stick to that simplicity and not allow detractors and critics to make anything more of it that exactly what it says.
This is set up as a Locked Thread.
When your Party President wishes to open our Mission Statement up for discussion for possible change, he may unlock this thread or open another for Discussion, but for now I just want to have the Mission Statement laid out clearly so we all understand what my original intent was and the basic principles this Party is based upon.
Thank you all very much for joining and supporting the American Military Party, Soldiers in Congress, our Military as a whole, and America herself.

Our practice is to
- promote (level 1) the candidacy of US Soldiers' campaigns to Congress and the Presidency through endorsements (granting use of our Endorsement banner) and normal level text inclusion in the Party newspaper;
- (level 2) also run Ads specifically for them during their campaign;
- and (level 3) also organize mobile voters for them.
